It has been speculated that the movie is linked to events in Granard in County Longford in 1984

The executive producer of a film being shot in Roscommon will not be drawn on who the screenplay is based on, or on a specific location.

There has been speculation that the true story film is based on the death of Ann Lovett in Granard in County Longford in 1984.

Filming is underway in Boyle on the film called 'Thirteen Hours' which is believed to be based on a true story in 1980's Ireland.

The movie crew is in its first week of filming on location in the Roscommon town, and filming will continue until Saturday the 10th of July.

Executive producer Ferdia Doherty, said the film is about an event that happened in a midlands town in the early 1980's.
