The man who was found dead at a house in Mayo last night has been named locally as John Brogan.
Another man, aged in his 60s, has been arrested on suspicion of murder.
The Garda Technical Bureau and State Pathologist are still at the scene of this house on Pheasanthill in Castlebar.

Last night Gardaí and Emergency Services were alerted to the house through reports of a fire.
The body of a man was discovered inside the residence, with some reports suggesting he may have suffered gunshot wounds.
A man has since been arrested on suspicion of murder and is currently detained in Castlebar Garda Station.
