197 people were tested for Covid 19 at a pop up Covid centre in Athlone on Friday.
The facility, operating in the former St Aloysius College. It was established to determine if a cluster of cases linked to the Delta variant had emerged in the town following socialising over two weeks ago.
The centre tested over 400 people on its first day of swabs on Thursday.

Today is the final day it is available for testing. Children and adults are eligible to be tested between 10am and 4pm.
