Planning permission is being sought for two new housing developments in Athlone.
The two separate applications submitted to Westmeath County Council call for the units to be constructed at sites near the centre of the town.
The first application seeks the sub division of an existing site and the construction of 4 detached two storey homes at Lissoy on Retreat Road.

The plans include a new vehicular entrance off Retreat Road for units one and two and another off Retreat Ridge for units 3 and 4.
A separate planning permission is seeking the construction of 3 terraced homes at St Mary's place in the town.
Both applications will be decided on in September.
