Planning permission is being sought for the construction of a 9 story office building in Athlone.
Avenir Assets Management DAC have submitted an application for the part 7, part 9 storey development at Cloghanboy in the town.
The development would include office space, meeting rooms, staff welfare facilities and reception areas.
The buildings would be split into the 7 storey block A and the 9 storey block B, with designs showing an interconnecting link bridge between first and sixth floor levels.
Also included in the plans are an outdoor terrace on the 6th floor in Block A and another one on the 8th floor on the adjoining building.
Avenir Assets Management DAC are seeking the construction of a 3 storey parking deck and solar panels as well as hard and soft landscaping.
If approved, the building would become the second highest in Athlone, behind the 11 storey high Sheraton Hotel.
