Plans have been lodged for the demolition of a well known former pub and restaurant in Longford.
The Dolphin Bar in Edgeworthstown is set for demolition should Longford County Council approve the planning permission.
Under plans submitted by Frank Kane, the former pub and restaurant would be replaced by a residential development of 7 two story terraced houses.

The homes would consist of 5 two bed houses and 2 three bed dwellings on Pound Street and Ballymahon Road in the town.
The plans also include car parking, landscaping and pedestrian and vehicular access from Chapel Lane.
County planners will decide on the application in August.
