Plans for Longford housing development given go ahead

Planning permission has been granted for a major housing development in Longford.

AMC Developments limited applied to Longford County Council in July for the construction of 42 residential dwellings on the Connaught Road in Longford.

These 42 houses would consist of 14 three-bed two storey semi-detached houses, 8 three-bed two storey terraced houses, and 20 two bedroom two storey terraced houses.

Also included in the application is the demolition of the existing derelict structures on site, a proposed entrance from the link road, and a green open space.

Longford County Planners granted the application with 14 conditions attached.
