Planning permission is being sought for a new housing development in Athlone, county Westmeath.
Tuath Housing is applying for planning to construct 55 new apartments at the existing Marist College, Retreat Rd, Athlone. The plans include the renovation and extension of the existing Marist College to provide 28 new apartments.
Also included is the construction of a new three storey apartment block to the rear of the site, incorporating 27 apartments and community rooms.

The proposed development also consists of new footpaths and roads within the site including amendments to the existing internal road. Westmeath County planners are due to make a decision on the development in December.
