Plans have been submitted for a significant new housing development in Athlone. Mistledale Limited are seeking the construction of 67 homes at Hillquarter in Coosan.
Plans include the provision of 30 three bedroom terraced dwellings, 28 four bed, two storey semi -detached homes, 5 two -bed homes and 4 four-bed detached houses.
The planning application also calls for the upgrading of the existing public sewer beneath the public road to the west of the site and the connection of the development to the infrastructure.
Works including storm drainage, a new site entrance from the public road, internal roads and an ESB substation are also included in the plans, with the developers submitting a Natura Impact Statement to county planners with the application. Westmeath County Council will decide on the issue in July.
