Planning permission sought for major extension of a Mullingar hotel

The proposal consists of a new restaurant, new breakfast room, reception area, extended bar area, ancillary rooms and 60 bedrooms.

Planning permission is being sought for a major extension of a Westmeath hotel. Annebrook House Hotel in Mullingar has applied for planning permission for a development which will consist of the demolition of existing premises at No.7 Pearse Street and the provision of new 4 storey extension. The proposal consists of a new restaurant, new breakfast room, reception area, extended bar area, ancillary rooms and 60 bedrooms.

The development will also include a new connection to the hotel, a new single storey extension to rear, external alterations and all associated site works. Westmeath County planners are due to decide on the application in April.
