Plans have been lodged for the development of an extension for Scoil Eimear in Longford Town.
The application from the school's board of management would see a 440 metre squared extension built onto the north side of the school.
Plans include the provision of four new classrooms, both a student and staff toilet and connections to the existing school building.

County planners are due to make a decision on the application at the start of June.
The reference number with Longford County Council is 2193.
