Planning permission has been lodged for the construction of a filling station in Longford.
The works would accompany a coffee shop and seating area.
The project is proposed to be developed at Saintjohnstown, on the Longford Road in Ballinalee.
The application was sent in by Declan Fox, and comprises of the construction of a single storey shop building which would facilitate a retail area, an off-licence, and a coffee/serve seating area.
The ancillary works include office, toilet, storage and staff room facilities.
The planning application also proposes to construct a new forecourt area with pump islands and canopy, as well as 40,000 litre underground fuel storage tanks.
The project includes the proposed installation of a car wash facility, along with parking bays and the erection of appropriate signage.
