Roscommon planners have granted permission for the construction of a 30m telecommunications tower in south Roscommon. Cignal Infrastructure Limited applied for the multi-user lattice

Roscommon planners have granted permission for the construction of a 30m telecommunications tower in south Roscommon.

Cignal Infrastructure Limited applied for the multi-user lattice tower in Toberiheen.

Plans included a 2.4 metre high palisade encompassing associated ground equipment and have been granted with 5 conditions attached.

One states that new planning permission is required if there is any change to the transmission power output, antennae type, or mounting configuration.

Meanwhile Eir have lodged an appeal to An Bord Pleanála following refusal of Roscommon county planners to grant permission for a 20m telecommunications mast in Boyle.

A decision is due on the appeal in June.
