Petrol prices are at their lowest average prices since September 2021.
According to the AA, diesel prices are down 11.3 per cent on average in Ireland and Petrol is down 9.8 per cent on average.
It represents a 10.5 per cent average price drop across the board.

Paddy Comyn, the AA's Head of Communications, has the breakdown:
''It's been bucking the trend we've seen over the year where we've seen them steadily increase we now are at prices that we haven't seen for quite some time, petrol is at its lowest average price since September 2021 at just €1.60 per litre while diesel is at its lowest average price since the outbreak outbreak of the war in Ukraine rather, with pricing just €1.74.''
