Overcrowding levels at Portiuncula Hospital fall dramatically

Overcrowding at Portiuncula hospital has dramatically reduced in the past 24 hours.

30 people were waiting on a bed at the Ballinasloe facility on Monday however according to the INMO just 3 people are without a bed at the hospital this morning.

Galway University Hospital has a high number of patients waiting for a bed at 62 while 21 people are waiting on trolleys at Sligo Hospital.

12 people are also waiting at the Mullingar Hospital this morning with no patients without a bed at Tullamore Hospital.
