Over 30 buildings across the Shannonside region have been allocated just over a quarter of a million euro under the Built Heritage Investment Scheme.
The scheme helps owners of heritage structures to meet their obligations to care for their properties by providing match-funded grants of up to €15,000.
It also applies to structures on local councils Record of Protected Structures, and those in Architectural Conservation Areas.
Almost 20 projects in Roscommon have qualified for grant aid totaling €100,000 in this tranche.
These include €9,000 for Ballymoe Railway Station for works on rainwater goods, and draught proofing windows and doors.
Two Bank of Ireland buildings in Strokes town and Elphin are to get €7,000 each towards roof repair and draught proofing, while Boyle Mill in Mockmoyne for protection of historic window glass.
Five projects in Longford will get a total of €70,000 including €15,000 towards stabilization of masonry work at Cloghan Mills, and another €15,000 for roof repair and leadwork at Frances Cottage Lockhouse in Killashee.
Projects in Leitrim have qualified for a total of just over €90,000 including €15,000 for Drumreilly Church of Ireland roof repair, and just over €11,000 for historic glass conservation at Mullies Catholic Church .
