Revenue Officers have seized another significant amount of drugs at a centre in Athlone as part of their ongoing operations targeting the importation of drugs.
Officers examining parcels at a premises in the town yesterday seized over 5 kilos of herbal cannabis with an estimated value of more than €107,000.
The illegal drugs originated in Spain and were destined for an address in Co Westmeath.

Another seizure of cannabis, with a value of €80,000, and which had also come from Spain was seized in Athlone last week.
A 2 kilos package of cannabis resin was also seized in the town at the beginning of this month.
