Over 70 applications have been made to local County Councils to develop outdoor dining and drinking spaces in the Shannonside region.
Details released to Shannonside FM reveal that Longford County Council received the largest number of applications under the Outdoor seating scheme.
Out of 26 applications in Leitrim, 18 applicants were successful in efforts to seek funding for outdoor seating - with the total offer worth an estimated at €63,000.
42 applications were received by Longford County Council- with 20 going forward to the next stage of the process before any money is paid out.
A total of nine applications were received by Roscommon County Council with the applications currently being processed.
The local authority in Longford also made one submission for the Outdoor Dining Infrastructure Scheme' which is exclusive to local authorities.
