The Central Statistics office recorded over 600 marriages in the Shannonside Region in 2022.
Figures released this week show 605 marriages registered across Leitrim, Longford and Roscommon during the period.
The majority of these were Roman Catholic ceremonies, with 442 wedding masses preformed.

This was followed by Civil Ceremonies, where 125 people tied the knot last year locally.
43 spiritualist weddings were preformed with a further 23 humanist ceremonies registered with the CSO.
According to the figures, just 7 Church of Ireland weddings took place locally in the 12 months of 2022.
