Over 250 motorcycles licensed in the region this year

There have  been over 250 motorcycles licensed across the Shannonside Northern Sound region so far this year.

The data from the CSO shows that Cavan has the highest amount of motorcycles licensed locally in 2023.

There have been 92 motorcycles licensed in the county so far.

Monaghan has the second highest amount with a total of 60 motorcycles licensed.

Roscommon has had 40 issued so far for 2023 while Longford has 36 to date.

Meanwhile, Leitrim has the lowest number issued in the Shannonside Northern Sound region with just 24 motor cycles licensed for the first time this year.

Overall, there have been 252 motorcycles licensed in the region this year.
