Over 17,500 cases of Covid-19 reported

As of 8am today, 928 COVID-19 patients were in hospital , of which 94 are in ICU.

The Chief Medical Officer, Dr Tony Holohan said: It was concerning to see the rising number of people with COVID-19 in hospital.

There has been a total of 5,952 deaths related to COVID-19 notified in Ireland. This includes 40 deaths newly notified in the past week.
