Over 1,700 homes without power locally due to Storm Franklin

Over 1,700 homes and businesses across the Shannonisde region are without power this morning due to Storm Franklin.

1,300 homes are without electricity in Boyle while almost 100 premises have no power in Roscommon.

Over 1,000 properties are without electricity in the Dowra area.

It comes as a status yellow wind warning is in place for the whole country this morning until 9am.

An orange wind warning for Donegal, Leitrim and Sligo is coming to an end now.
