Over 100 patients are waiting for beds at hospitals in the Shannonside Region this morning.

109 people are on trolleys or waiting in wards elsewhere in hospitals in Galway, Westmeath and Sligo.

University Hospital Galway is dealing with 43 patients waiting for a bed, the majority of which are on trolleys.

The Emergency Department at Sligo University Hospital is reporting significant over crowding today with 33 patients waiting on a trolley or in a separate ward.

Portiuncula Hospital in Ballinasloe is seeing high levels of attendance at their ED, with 22 patients waiting for a bed.

In Westmeath, Midlands Regional Hospital Mullingar has 11 patients on Trolleys.
