The Government has previously stated it is fully committed to supporting a significant expansion and modernisation of the EV charging network over the coming years and reaching climate targets.

Over 100 EV charging points have been installed locally since 2020.
The data follows a parliamentary question by Kerry TD Pa Daly to Minister for Transport Darragh O'Brien.

They say having an effective and reliable charging network is an essential part of enabling drivers to make the switch to electric vehicles.

Figures have been released by the Department of Transport.
Locally, Co. Roscommon had the most points with 59, followed by Co. Longford on 41.
Meanwhile, Leitrim's total is 11.
The national total, according to the figures is 3,428.
