A status orange thunderstorm warning has been issued for county Roscommon.
Possible impacts include localised flooding, hail damage, difficult travelling conditions, damage to utilities including power, water, gas, telecommunications, very gusty winds and lightning damage.
The warning is in effect until 8pm this evening.

A yellow alert was previously issued and continues until 6pm this evening.
A high temperature warning is also in place for the entire country until tomorrow at 9am.
