A person has been hospitalised following a house fire in Longford.
The blaze broke out at a property in the Royal Canal Bank area of the town just before 6pm on Monday evening.
Fire crews from Longford town and Edgeworthstown attended the incident and extinguished the fire. The occupant of the house was rescued by a passer-by and was subsequently taken to hospital.
