Public health officials met for five and a half hours yesterday to discuss the Covid crisis.

The government has been advised to close all pubs and restaurants at 5pm, as soon as possible.

Cabinet Ministers will consider NPHET's latest recommendations to slow the spread of the Omicron variant later today.

NPHET have also proposed that cinemas, theaters and sporting events should also be subject to a 5pm curfew and be capped at half capacity.
