A road remains closed in north Roscommon following a road crash late last night.
Gardai in Boyle are investigating a collision on the R294 at Tinacarra approximately 2km from Boyle town.
The single-vehicle crash occurred just after 9pm, and a man in his 50s was seriously injured.

He was removed from the scene to Sligo University Hospital where he remains this morning.
Forensic Collision Investigators are attending the scene to conduct an examination.
The road is currently closed with local diversions in place and it is expected to remain closed until this afternoon.
