North Roscommon and North Longford recorded the biggest increases in Covid cases in the Shannonside region in the last fortnight. According to new information, the

North Roscommon and North Longford recorded the biggest increases in Covid cases in the Shannonside region in the last fortnight.

According to new information, the Boyle LEA recorded a Covid rate twice the national average between the 15th and 28th of September.

In total 43 cases were recorded in the LEA in the 14 day period with its rate rising from 87 at the end of September 21st, to 197 as of the end of the 28th of last month.

Roscommon town's LEA and the Athlone LEA also recorded 11 cases each.

In Longford, the Granard LEA recorded a dozen cases in the last two weeks - with its rate per 100,000 at 112.4.

Longford town's Covid cases were recorded at nine and Ballymahon's LEA rate was fewer than five.

Leitrim's LEA rates are all below five for the last fortnight.
