29/4/2022 NO REPRODUCTION FEE Minister Pippa Hackett officially launches Woodland Festival 2022 On the 29th April, Pippa Hackett Minister of State for Agriculture with responsibility for land use and biodiversity officially launched the Woodland Festival 2022 “Come see the Wood from the Trees” at the Clonalis Estate, Castlerea, Co Roscommon. It's hoped the festival will create a greater awareness of the benefits of trees and woodlands.

A new woodland festival has been announced for Castlerea this August.

The event which is called ''Come see the Wood from the Trees'' was officially launched this afternoon by Minister of State Pippa Hackett.

Organised by the Western Forestry Co-op, the one day festival on Sunday August 28th will take place at the Clonalis House Estate.

The day will include live woodland demonstrations, beekeeping and hurley making as well as a variety of walks & talks.
