The name of the new technological university linking Athlone I.T with Limerick I.T has been revealed
Earlier this month it was confirmed that the merger of the two third-level institutions had been given official approval, with the Technological University status set to be in place for the forthcoming academic year in the autumn.
Speaking on Clare FM earlier this week, Limerick I.T president Vincent Cunnane revealed that the new academic partnership will be called the Technological University of the Shannon: Midlands Midwest'.
