New local national centre for electric vehicle skills gets green light

€200,000 was allocated in the budget to establish the office which will temporarily be based in the head office of LWETB in Marlinstown.

A local TD has welcomed the go ahead of the new national centre for electric vehicle skills in Mullingar. Fianna Fail TD for Longford-Westmeath, Robert Troy, said that Mullingar is a growing town and that the centre will create many new jobs. The National Centre will be hosted by Longford-Westmeath ETB and will see people trained to repair and maintain all electric vehicles.

€200,000 was allocated in the budget to establish the office which will temporarily be based in the head office of LWETB in Marlinstown. Deputy Troy added that it is critical that the project office is established as quickly as possible.
