New Garda Superintendent to take up role in Leitrim

A new Garda Superintendent has been appointed in County Leitrim.

Roscommon native Chris Grogan is due to take up the role in Carrick On Shannon this month.

He moves to Leitrim after a period as Superintendent in Baltinglass in County Wicklow.

He will be the third Garda Superintendent to serve in Leitrim this year following the retirement of Kevin English and the short tenure of Superintendent Mandy Gaynor who moved to Sligo in October having been appointed in July.
