New figures reveal one in four people behind on gas bills

One in four people are now behind on their gas bills, as households and businesses continue to struggle with energy costs.

The issue will be discussed at an Oireachtas committee this morning, where the Commission for Regulation of Utilities will present its latest findings. It will tell the committee over 168 thousand customers are now in arrears on gas payments, up 34 per cent on 2021.
