New farming group to be launched tomorrow in Athlone

A new farming group is to hold their national launch meeting in Athlone this weekend.

Farmers Alliance has been set up to work with farmers, contractors and consumers to improve the farming at production stage.

The meeting will take place at the Athlone Springs Hotel on Sunday at 1.30pm.

Verona Murphy TD and Michael Fitzmaurice TD will make speeches on the day.
