A new bike hire scheme for Athlone town will be officially launched at Athlone Castle later this morning.
The pilot project will see 30 bicycles available to the public for use via the Moby Bike App.
The bikes will unlock and re-dock in nine separate locations across the town via the app and payment will also be made online.

Westmeath Council says it hopes the bikes will help reduce the number of short car journeys around the town, reducing the carbon footprint locally.
