Nearly 100 people waiting for a bed at local hospitals

Close to 100 people are waiting for a bed at local hospitals this morning.

Figures from the INMO are reporting that Sligo University Hospital Emergency Department is extremely busy with 37 people on trolleys or waiting elsewhere in the hospital.

University Hospital Galway is also reporting high levels of overcrowding, with 43 people on trolleys.

13 people are waiting for beds at Portiuncula Hospital with a further 2 at Mullingar Hospital.

According to the Irish Nurses and Midwives Oraganisation, there are currently no patients waiting at the Midlands Regional Hospital Tullamore.
