A local TD has said an additional €900 million in infrastructural funding announced in Budget 2024 is positive news for planned works on the N4.
Fianna Fáil TD Joe Flaherty says the upgrade of the Mullingar to Rooskey section of the road should now proceed to route selection next year.
He added that he expects an announcement on the key local project and a further 15 road projects before the end of the year.
