The last year has seen severe delays facing ambulances when attending an emergency

A HSE report warns of the urgent need to recruit more staff to the National Ambulance Service.

The report indicates a target to respond within 19 minutes to life-threatening cases, would be met less than 40 per cent of the time by 2027.

This man says his 88 year old mother was waiting for an ambulance for a total of 15 hours in Cork, after suffering a fall.

We called them and they sent a GP up and she requested am ambulance.

The ambulance still didn't arrive for another six hours.
