The Garda air unit, drones and specialist sniffer dogs were deployed in the search for Peter.

A major search effort has been mounted over the last 6 days including Civil Defence, Gardaí and local volunteers.

He's described as being approximately 5 foot 9 inches in height with a slim build, brown/grey hair and blue eyes.

Anyone who was in the area on Sunday and who has dash cam footage are asked to make it available to Longford Gardaí.
