Minister says no issue with funding for Castlerea eMental Health Hub

The Minster was on a visit to Roscommon today.

The Minister of State with responsibility for Older Persons says there will be no issue with funding for the eMental Hub in Castlerea in 2022.

Minister Mary Butler has been visiting day care centres in Elphin and Strokestown in Roscommon today, meeting with older citizens who can now return to some level of social activity.

She is also in Castlerea this afternoon to visit the eMental heatlh hub where there's been a delay in the rollout of a Psychiatry of Later Life Services and a full Child and Adolescents Mental Health home services.

Three positions for the CHAMS service are at an advanced stage of recruitment but there's just one of the six roles filled in the the POS team.

Minister Butler says the delay has very much been down to redeployment of staff into contact tracing and testing roles as part of the Covid response.

She says crisis there has and will be no issue with funding from her Department.
