The Minister for Housing, Local Government and Heritage, Darragh O'Brien is visiting Carrick On Shannon today.
The minister officially opened a new 27 unit social housing at Pairceanna an Bhaile at Townparks.
The 7 million euro project consists of 6 semi detached two bedroom units, 12 two storey 2 bed units, 8 three bed units and a mix of other residential homes.

The Minister also visited phase two of the social housing development which is currently under construction and expected to add a further 12 homes.
Minister O'Brien will later tour the new street scape of the town, which was recently completed following 2 years of intense works.
