Minister Humphreys confirms hefty funding to local Tidytowns groups

Minister Heather Humphreys confirmed the funding, which will provide between €1,000 and €4,000 to eligible TidyTowns groups across the country.

Almost €200,000 has been earmarked to support TidyTowns groups across the Shannonside Northern Sound region.

Groups in Westmeath were given the most funding in the region at a total of €45,000, followed by Roscommon, which was allocated €37,000.

Eligible Longford TidyTowns groups are to receive €33,000, while Cavan can claim up to €30,000.

A total of €29,000 was allocated to groups across County Monaghan, while Leitrim is to receive up to €21,000.

Overall, €195,000 can be claimed by local Tidytowns groups across the region.
