Fast-food chain McDonalds is applying for planning permission to establish an outlet in Carrick-on-Shannon.

A planning notice published today details that the chain was to develop a site of almost half an acre at Rosebank Retail Park at Attirory and Attifinlay.

The proposed development would involve a two-storey drive-thru restaurant including the ancillary sale of hot food off the premises.

It would also involve the provision of site access from the existing retail park access road to the south, and 31 car parking spaces, including three for electric vehicles.

Planning will also be sought for height restrictors and outdoor seating areas.
