A man in his 40s has been seriously injured following a serious road traffic incident in Mullingar today.
The incident, involving an e-scooter, occurred close to midday at Saunders Bridge in the town.
The man who was travelling on the e-scooter has been taken to Tullamore Hospital with serious injuries.

There were no other injuries reported and the road remains closed pending a technical examination by Forensic Collision Investigators.
