The man died from stab wounds in a flat in Dublin earlier this week

A 47-year-old man has been remanded in custody after he was charged with the murder of a man in Dublin.

52-year-old Isaac Horgan received stab wounds in the South Inner City on Monday morning.

At around 11am on Monday Gardai and emergency services responded to an incident at a flat at Markievicz House on Townsend Street. 52-year-old Isaac Horgan was found seriously injured with a knife wound and he later died in hospital.

This morning, 47 year old Noel Lennon, of Alexandra Court, Dundrum, Dublin, was charged with the murder of Mr Horgan. The judge remanded Mr Lennon in custody to appear via video-link at Cloverhill District Court on April 7.

A woman in her 30s, who was also arrested as part of the investigation. She has since been released without charge and a file is being prepared for the Director of Public Prosecutions.
