A man has appeared in court following an alleged burglary and assault in Longford town this week.
The incident occurred in the early hours of Tuesday morning, in Ballyminion.
The male, who is in his 20s, was arrested by Gardaí in Longford, and appeared at a sitting of Athlone district court earlier today.

He was remanded in custody and is due back in court later this month.
