Gardaí have arrested a man and seized drugs with a value of €12,500 in County Longford.
At approximately 11:45am this morning, Gardaí stopped and conducted a search of a car in Longford Town.
During the search, cocaine with a value of €9,000 was discovered in the vehicle.

A follow up search was conducted at property on Richmond Street, Longford, which resulted in the seizure of a further €3,500 worth of cocaine.
All of the drugs seized will now be sent for analysis.
A man in his 20s was arrested in relation to this and was taken to Longford Garda station, where he was detained under the provisions of Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act 1984.

He has since been charged and is due to appear before Con 1st February 2022.
Investigations are ongoing.
