Old water mains in Carrick on Shannon will be replaced in the coming days.
Works will begin shortly along the L-3413 in Summerhill.
The new pipework will significantly reduce leakage levels and put an end to disruption to the water supply due to bursts.

Farrans Construction will carry out the replacements on behalf of Uisce Eireann with a planned completion date in early September.
It's expected during this time there may be some disruption to water supply some traffic diversions will be in place along the L-3413.
The removal of old cast water pipers will also improve water quality.
