Works are taking place on the N4 Bridge over the River Shannon to install new lighting under the arches. Works will take place over the course of the week from 10am to 3pm, with completion set for Friday afternoon.

Contractors are employing a hoist vehicle, leaving one lane of the N4 closed during the duration of the works. A traffic management plan is in place, but motorists travelling through the town are being warned of knock on delays due to significant tail backs. Masters of vessels on the Shannon should proceed with additional caution during these works and comply with the instructions of onsite safety staff.
